Our Services

Preventive Medicine

Routine exam are extremely important in pets because they are not able to voice illness or pain as well as we are. During an exam it is important to address any health concerns or to seek advice with behavioral issues. You will find that our doctor and staff are helpful and caring.

Vaccinations, parasite prevention, a healthy diet and dental cleanings are also important in keeping pets healthy. Puppies and kittens under go a series of vaccinations and physical exams. Frequent exams are very important in detecting physical problems in young pets as they grow.

Depending on what the doctor finds during a physical examination often we will recommend treatment medications or additional diagnostics test such as blood tests or radiographs.

Diagnostics and Treatment

Our goal is to provide treatments that are both efficient and effective as possible. Occasionally it is necessary to prescribe treatment medications or recommend additional diagnostics test such as blood tests or radiographs.

We have an on site lab where we perform routine blood work, urinalysis, cytology and fecal analysis. We also utilize an off site lab that performs more advanced diagnostic testing.

Radiographs are performed on site and include a consultation. Ultrasounds are performed by a mobile veterinarian and can be scheduled at our clinic by appointment.

We have a well stocked pharmacy to provide patients with effective treatment medications. Some pets have special dietary needs and so we also carry many prescription veterinary diets such as hypoallergic or diabetic foods.

Surgery

Dr. Sid Bruckert-Frisk is a skilled surgeon performing both routine and advanced surgeries Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  We have a great surgical team who works carefully along side our doctor.  Every patient is assigned a surgical assistant who will closely monitor your pet throughout their surgery and continues to stay watchfully beside your pet until he/she is fully awake from the general anesthetic.  Recovery is equally important and our staff attend to recovering patients by keeping them under observation and providing a warm, safe and quiet place to recover.  For your pet's comfort anti-inflammatory medications are included with all of our surgeries.

We offer two surgical electives; pre-anesthetic saftey screening and IV fluid therapy.  We ask that our scheduled surgery patient arrive between 8 and 9 AM.

Dentistry

Untreated dental disease is the greatest cause of health problems in dogs and cats. It can lead to the development of liver and kidney problems and is a source of chronic low-grade infection. Having regular exams helps your veterinarian determine if your pet needs dentistry care. Brushing your pet's teeth and feeding dental diets can help reduce the frequency of your pet's need for dental cleanings. We carry specially formulated pet tooth paste and dental diets here at the clinic.

Pet Grooming

Our clinic has a full time groomer on staff. We use a Hydrosurge® bathing and massage system that makes your pet feel great, as well as getting them immaculately clean. We also use only natural shampoos with no harsh chemicals in them. Our groomer has experience with both cats and dogs, and likes to make the grooming process a fun and happy one for your pet. We welcome any pet, from puppies to seniors. Whether your dog or cat needs a bath or a haircut, we make your pets look and feel their best!

Pet Boarding

Our boarding pets are kept in separate wards away from our sick patients. Sick pets may also be boarded in our treatment ward and medications will be administered by our knowledgeable staff. We ask that all animals staying at the clinic are parasite free and have proof of current vaccinations. If our staff find your pet to have fleas or other parasites, your pet will be treated.

Our cat boarding area has large windowed cages so our guests can do some bird watching. Our boarding dogs stay in runs or large cages depending upon availability. Dogs are walked two to three times daily. We welcome you to bring comfort items from home such as a favorite blanket or toy.
